Property (30 April 1892): Recorded deed empowers Attorney W. F. Hall to release a lien on land held by Elijah Wilson a resident of Bell County, Kentucky, , wife, Ellender, Andrew Bailey, his son-in-law, and Phoebe Bailey, his daughter. Lien amounted to $1500 plus interest on 5 tracts of land. Deed indicates and the lien had been paid off. Land was loacated on Big Run a branch of Straight Creek loacated on border of Harlan and Bell counties. One tract amounted to 1000 acres, second 100 acres, third tract 300 acres, fouth not stated but described, and fifth 50 acres. Andrew Bailey is described as owning property abuuting tract 5. Elijah made his mark on the lien.
Probate (14 November 1901): A. J. Bailey, son-in-law of Elijah Wilson, was the administrator of Elijah's estate. He made an initial settlement of the estate on 14 Nov 1901. The sale bill of Elijah's property amounted to $848.36 and costs of administoring the estate amounted to $246.10, including $50 to the lawyer and $75 to A. J. Bailey. One half of the remainder went to Elenor, the widow, and 7 surviving daughters divided the remaining half. The surviving daughters were: Mary Lefevers, Lettie Hoskins, Mrs. Caldwell, Sarah Inman, Lucinda Cox, Matilda Hall, and Pheobe Bailey.

According to Memorial Stone, Elijah was born in 1824. His sister Elizabeth was born 15 September 1824 suggests he was a late born twin. Note that names of their first two children taken from first his mother and than hers. In 1866 according to Harlan County Court Orders, Elijah Wilson was appointed surveyor of the road from the branch at Ben Howards upper field to the Salt Trace. In 1870 Elijah WILSON lived in Wallins Creek Twp, Harlan County, KY. Zachariah SAYLOR and his wife Sarah WILSON lived next door and John Granville SAYLOR was the next neighbor. Elizabeth, whose occupant was listed as domestic servant, also lived at home. Augetella (Angelica) 15 and Lucinda 10 from the 1860 Census were still at home. In addition Matilda 4 and Feba Jane 1 also lived with them.
