Son of Simeon Wilson and Nancy Williford, Married Sarah Howard.
Peter Wilson has two death certificates. One indicates that he was born 1-11-1835, age 88 (informant grandson Abraham Roark). The other gives no date of birth but gives his age as 86 indicating a birth year of 1837 (informant Rebecca Mosley, no relation). His tombstone gives his birth year as 1837. His marriage record (age 23 when he was married 1-20-1859) and draft registration support the earlier date. But the census consistently indicates he was born 1837 or 1838. Sister Gincy was born 10-30-1834. They were not born two months apart. The 1837 date is more likely correct. He died 11 November 1923.
