A son of Lawrence and Vesta Hicks, he was born Feb. 3, 1923 in Indiana. He was raised in Indiana and had resided in Pittsburgh for may years after the war.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Shirley Hicks; four children; two brothers; William B., Indiana; Laird W., Ashland, Ky., two sisters: Miss Iona Norton, Melrose, Mass., and Mrs. Irma Romasco, Cleveland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; Mervin and Leon, both of Indiana; a sister, Velma Saba, Philadelphia.
Friends will be received at the Deinhuer Funeral Home, Pittsburgh from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and Sunday where services will be held Monday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m.
