Mrs. Seth Boles

Dardanelle was saddened yesterday to learn of the death about 9 o clock a.m. of Mrs. Seth Boles, Sr. aged 62, wife of Mr. Seth Boles, Sr. Mrs. Boles was taken suddenly ill Sunday afternoon while at the bus station where she accompanied her daughter, Miss Kitty, who was to return to Texarkana after a brief visit home. Her condition remained serious until her death yesterday morning. Mrs. Boles, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Albright, was a native of Yell County where she spent her entire life, most of it as a resident of Dardanelle. She was a woman of lovely character, gracious, kindly and sympathetic, and was loved and admired by all with whom she came in contact. A member of the Methodist Church from girlhood, she was a devoted Christian, a loyal, faithful wife, a kind and loving mother, and a true and helpful friend.

Mrs. Boles is survived by her husband; four sons, Gorden and Seth, Jr. of Dardanelle; Keith, of the U. S. Navy, now stationed in the Samoan Islands, and Neil, of the U. S. Army, stationed on the Pacific Coast; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hunt, of Dardanelle, and Miss Kitty Boles, of Texarkana; a sister, Mrs. Kitty Aikin [Akin]; and a brother, Paul Watt, of Little Rock.

The funeral service, conducted by Rev. E. W. Faulkner, Pastor of the Methodist Church, will be held at the family home on Third Street at 10:00 o clock Friday morning. Pallbearers will be Active Messrs. H. L. Hunt, Norphleet Hughes, Dr. W. D. Jacoway, Joe D. Gault Sr., Fred C. Burnett, Jr. and Harrison Farnum. Honorary Messrs. Geo. N. Goodier, M. D. Howell, Joe Goodier, Herbert C. Scott, Dr. Gilroy Cornwall, Geo. F. Upton, Judge T. E. Wilson and Robert Berry. Burial, under direction of the Cornwell Funeral Home, will be in the family plot in Brearley Cemetery.
