Joyce Belle Armsworth, 81, Decatur, died May 6, 1961 at her home. Funeral services were held at Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home with burial in Monticello cemetery.

She was born Apr 9, 1880 in Mt Sterling OH a d/o Sampson and Eliza Ann Mintum Adkins. She married Sam Scott Armsworth in 1906 in Monticello. He preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons: Sam E. of Decatur; and James A., San Antonio TX; a daughter, Mrs. Bess Raycraft, San Antonio TX; and a brother, Sampson Adkins, Walnut Creek CA; a sister, Clara Adkins, Decatur; eight grandchildren and 10 gr-grandchildren. Five brothers and five sisters preceded her in death. One of her brothers was former U.S. Rep Charles Adkins of Decatur.
