LETART — Cardell Harris, 87, of Letart, passed away January 30, 2021 in Mount Carmel Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, following a brief illness.
He was born September 8, 1933 in Harlan County, Ky., a son of the late Mont Washington and Ruby (Lewallen) Harris. His wife Betty Lou Harris; daughter, Tracy Ann Harris; son, Carlos Lee Harris; brothers, Odell and Eudell Harris; sisters, Christine Carter, Irene Smith and Sonja Harris preceded him in death.
He was a United States Army veteran and a member of the V.F.W. Post # 9926, Mason, and the American Legion Post # 140 New Haven. He was a retired foreman from Century Aluminum Ravenswood, with 32 years of service and enjoyed four-wheeling and boating.
Survivors include his son, Barry Allan Harris of New Haven; daughter, Dianna Lynn (Joseph) Patton of Eleanor; brothers, Bredell, Credell and Mondell Harris; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be private at Sunrise Cemetery, Letart, with military graveside rights by the V.F.W. Post #9926 Mason, American Legion Post # 140 New Haven, and American Legion Post #0039 Pomeroy, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers donations are preferred to the V.F.W. Post # 9926 Mason, care of Foglesong Funeral Home, P.O. Box 367, Mason, WV 25260
