Sonja Harris, 60, died Sunday, June 13, 1999, in a Charleston hospital following a long illness with cancer.
Born July 15, 1938, at Barrett, she was the daughter of the late Mont and Ruby Harris.
Mrs. Harris was a retired employee of Bradley Inc. and a member of Wharton Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; a daughter, Myra; [an infant daughter, Lesa]; a brother, Odell; and a sister, Christine.
Survivors include a son, Stacy Harris of Bim; a step son, Joel Harris Jr. of Carmon, Ky.; one daughter, Marla Harris of Cool Ridge; two step daughters, Linda Warren of Carmon, Ky. and Gretchen Smith of Norwood, Ohio; five brothers, Bredell Harris of Penargyl, Pa., Cardell Harris of Mason, Credell Harris of Barrett, Eudell Harris of Barrett and Mondell Harris of Barrett; one sister, Irene Smith of Richmond, Va.; and three grandsons, Stacy, Casey and Cody.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at the Handley Funeral Home, Phipps Ave., Danville, with the Rev. Don McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
