Mary Emma Zufelt Collings, 97, of Poulsbo was born in Richfield, Utah to V.R. and Sarah Elizabeth Robinson Zufelt on January 6th, 1912.

She spent her early years on their ranch in Vermillion, Utah. She graduated from high school in Richfield in 1931.

She continued her education in later years at Skagit Valley Community College in Mount Vernon, WA and Tacoma Community College in Tacoma, WA.

She married Brooks E. Collings in 1933 in Utah. They had three children, David, Michael and Nora Sara. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children. She and her husband along with their 2 young sons moved to Bremerton in 1942. In 1945, their daughter Nora Sara was born.

In 1955, she went to work at PSNS in Planning and Estimating. In 1960, they moved to Whidbey Island where she worked as a purchasing agent at Whidbey Naval Air Station. She also worked as a real estate agent on Whidbey Island where she was an associate broker. She was a member of the Eastern Star (OES) Philathea Chapter 174 until her death.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Brooks E. Collings, in 1983. Also preceding her in death were her father, V.R. and mother, Sarah Elizabeth, 2 sons David and Michael, seven brothers, Devaughn, Don, Grant, Ralph, R.B., Ferril and Roger, sisters Nelda and Marjorie.
