Edna M. Loatman, 91 of Fairfield Twp. died on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Inspira Medical Center-Vineland.

Born in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Luther Reed and Phoebe Carney Reed, she was the wife of the late James K. Loatman. Edna had lived at her present address since 1953 and before that she had been a resident of the Back Neck section of Fairfield Twp.

Edna was a homemaker and her passion was caring for her family. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, fishing and traveling with her late husband, Jimmy. She also enjoyed visits with her sister. Edna was a member of Cedarville United Methodist Church for many years. Edna was also a member of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribe.

She is survived by; four children, Barbara M. Coombs of Cedarville, Anna Marie Mosley of PA, Joan E. Pierce of Carmel and Kenneth J. Loatman of Rosenhayn; a sister, Marian [Marion] Hughes of Cedarville; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, James “Jimmy” Loatman, Edna was preceded in death by; two brothers, Edward Reed and Robert Reed and a sister, Leitha Carter. [And also by brothers Joseph L. Reed, James H. “Ted” Coker, Frankford Coker and John Coker, Jr., along with infant siblings Augusteen Reed and Manford Coker].

Funeral services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, January 22nd at 1 pm. Interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville.
