Abraham Stofer Weaver, who for the past 4 months has been making his home in Quincy, died at 10 o'clock this morning of diabetes after an illness of 3 months.
He was born in Clark county, Mo., November 27, 1848, and was 71 years old. He was a former well known businessman of Virginia, IL., having been engaged the implement business. He was a former alderman of that city; and a member of the Baptist church.
He married Miss Eudora Jewett of Peoria on December 25, 1866. He leaves his wife, nine children, several grandchildren, also great children.
The body will be taken to Peoria tomorrow morning at 6:40 o'clock for burial, accompanied by the wife and three daughters.
