EUDORA LURENCY WEAVER Mrs. Eudora Lurency Weaver, widow of the late Abraham Weaver, Civil War veteran, passed away Wednesday, December 16 at 2 a.m. at the home of her son Charles Weaver at the age of 89 years, 6 months and one day.

Eudora Lurency Jewett was born in Colebrook, Ohio, June 15, 1847, the daughter of Dow and Malicia Drake Jewett. At an early age she moved with her parents to Abington, Illinois, where she received her education in the public schools and Abington College. On December 25, 1866 she was united in marriage with Abraham S. Weaver, who before serving in the Civil War lived in Pittsburg, Penn., They moved to Virginia, Illinois, where Mr. Weaver was a farmer and implement dealer for many years. In the year of 1898 they moved to Peoria. In 1916 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. After the death of Mr. Weaver, April 14, 1919, Mrs. Weaver made her home in Peoria, until two months ago when she came to Ashland to spend the winter at the home of her son. Mrs. Weaver had been in unusually good health and was ill only two weeks before her death. Private prayer services at the Berg Memorial Home in Ashland, and at the grave in Springdale, Cemetery, Peoria, where she was laid to rest beside her husband.She was survived by nine children, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, C.E. of Ashland; William, Fortworth, Texas; Mrs. J.H. Elwell, Macomb; Robert, Chicago; Mrs. John Bowen, Peoria; Mrs. E. Guy Geiselman, Grand Rapids, Mich; Roy, Jacksonville; Mrs. Mihleisen, New York City, and John of Chicago. Those attending the funeral from out-of-town were Mrs. F.R. Mihleisen, New York; Mrs. Guy Geiselman, Grand Rapids, Mich; Mr. and Mrs. John Weaver, Chicago; mr. and Mrs. John Weaver Jr., Chicago; Robert Weaver, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Mathews, Farmington; Mrs. J.H. Bowen, Mr and Mrs. Ernest Lanjpher, Peoria; C.E. Weaver and daughters Eda Mae, Mrs. Martin Gutmann and Mrs. Forrest Pearn of Ashland.
