Mary A. Culler was born in Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, in the year 1826, on the 13th day of April. She departed this life December 7, at the home of Clark L. Weaver of Cleo, Oklahoma, aged 92 years, 8 months, and 20 days.
She was married to John C. Weaver in Pennsylvania in 1846. To this union was born 10 children, of whom four are still living, two boys and two girls.
She was a member of the Congregational church at Chase, and ever lived a truly faithful Christian life, never more happy than when doing some act of kindness for others.
She was "Aunt" Mary to everyone at Chase. One of the first persons in Chase with whom we became acquainted, and her pleasant smile and cherry words always left a "good feeling" at all times when one met her. She was one of those exceptionally good mothers whom one could not help respecting, loving. In the years to come Aunt Mary Weaver will always remain a very pleasant, bright gleam of gladness in our memory. We remember how, when she had thought we had done her some favor, she would endeavor to show how greatly appreciated it-but just to have her for a friend was a priceless treasure itself. Her goodness was ever a call and help to others to live the better life.
Her body lies at rest in Chase Springdale Cemetery; her work here is finished and her soul returned to Him who gave it, but the results of her having lived and always faithful will go on and on into time inestimable.
