ANGEVINE.--In the town of La Grange, Dutchess Co., N.Y., at the residence of her son, Clinton Angevine, suddenly, of dropsy on the heart, on Friday, Jan. 8, 1858, ANNA WARD, widow of the late Stephen Angevine, aged 70 years and 6 months.

According to Clyde Angevine, she was a daughter of John and Rebecca Ward (ref. CVA, p.68).

A Reynolds Family Tree by Paul J. Brodnicki on Rootsweb.com (WorldConnect Project) shows her parents as Joshua Ward (1758-1833) and Mary Forman, and grandparents Daniel Ward (1727-1809) and Mary Wood Ward (citing source as Settlers of the Beekman Patent by Frank J. Doherty).

A Lonergan Family Tree on Ancestry.com says she was a daughter of Jonathan Ward (born 14 JUL 1758 Newark, Essex, N. J., d. 30 JUN 1834) and wife Rachel Freeman.
Jonathan Ward (born c1753 Westchester Co, NY), a Revolutionary War "Patriot" whose wife was Rachel Freeman, was mentioned briefly and shown on a graphic chart as a direct ancestor of Bill O'Reilly, descendant of Anna Ward Angevine, on "Finding Your Roots" on PBS Television (Season 3, Episode 2), Jan. 12, 2016.
The information matches the Jonathan Ward who married Rachel Freeman and whose service was in Essex, N.J. Jonathan Ward received bounty land for service in 1833. In 1849, his widow Rachel received a government pension from the Albany office (U.S. Pensioners, 1818-1872 database).

The Jonathan Ward most often mentioned in histories of Westchester was a younger (1768-1845) son of the Hon. Stephen Ward (1730-97), noted Patriot of Eastchester in Westchester County. His wife Sarah Brown was an Angevine cousin through Hoyt, Ferris, perhaps Smith, Wood and others.
