NOT A DUPLICATE.
THIS IS HIS ACTUAL GRAVE.

Clinton Angevine and his first wife Sarah Haynes Angevine share a marker here. Evidently they had no children (Angevine Genealogy by Clyde V. Angevine, p. 125, which gives his birth date as Dec. 13, 1815, the same date on the CENOTAPH marker in Connecticut).

Clinton Angevine and his second wife Amelia A. Clark (Jan. 18, 1838- Nov. 8, 1910) had two daughters:
Florence C. Angevine (25 Oct 1869-17 Sept 1904) Memorial# 107820811
Ann P. Angevine (3 Nov 1873-20 Apr 1886) Memorial# 21084313

After 1880, the widow Amelia returned to Connecticut with her daughters probably by 1886. She outlived both her daughters and may have had the large monument at Long Hill Cemetery erected with her name and those of her husband and daughters, as well as the marker for Clinton Angevine and his first wife here. But both markers look newer and likely were erected by her relatives or his later.

1840 census Union twp, Broome Co, NY: ANGEVINE, C. 1 male 20-30; 1 female 20-30.
Broome Co, NY Deed Book 22 Page 360, dated 22 Aug 1840: Clinton Angevine bought 50 acres located on the west end
of Lot 110 in Union twp $225.
Deed Book 31 Page 485 dated 21 Feb 1848: Clinton Angevine & wife Sarah, of Union twp, sold same property.
I85O census LaGrange twp, Dutchess Co, NY: ANGEVINE, Clinton 35 farmer b NY; Sarah 36 b NY; BRIGGS, Stephen 77 laborer. ("Comment: There is a possibility that this Stephen was Sarah's father, a clue to work on anyway. CVA").
NOTE: She was Sarah Haynes. There are many Briggs in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery nearby. If Stephen Briggs is here also, he does not have a marker.

1860 census LaGrange twp, Dutchess Co, NY: ANGEVINE, Clinton 45 farmer $3720; Sarah 47 b NY
1880 census Wappinger twp, Dutchess Co, NY - ANGEVINE, Amelia 42 widowed b CT, father & mother b CT;
Florence 10 dau; Annie 5 dau.
Dutchess Co, NY Surrogate records for Clinton's estate - will dated 27 Jul 1878; petition dated 23 Jun 1879
listed Florence & Annie, infant children of Clinton, deceased.

His second wife Amelia Clarke Angevine returned to Connecticut where she is buried (Find A Grave Memorial# 107824939).
His name is on her marker there, but it is a CENOTAPH (Find A Grave Memorial# 107824872)
He is buried here with his first wife.
