Daughter of Stephen Angevine and Anna Nancy Ward.

In 1850, Asenath Angevine, aged 27, was living in Pleasant Valley, Dutchess, NY, in the home of Isaac Holmes, aged 65, a farmer, and Mary Holmes, aged 58. Also living in the household was Isaac A. Peters, aged 7.

In 1865, A. Angevine, aged 40, was living in Rochester, Monroe, NY. Living with her were William S. Angevine, aged 19, and James D.H. Angevine, aged 13.

In 1870, Aseneth Angevine, aged 48, was living in Northampton, Massachusetts, in the home of Adolphus Angevine, aged 41, a carpenter, and his wife, Adelaide Angevine, aged 40, and their children, Moses, 13, Julia, 11, Nathan, 8, and Olive Angevine, aged 4.

In 1874, Aseneth Angevine could be found living at 43 Vandam, New York, NY. That same year, an article appeared in the New York Daily Herald, outlining a suit that was brought by Ageneth Angevine against the estate of Mrs. Eliza Crommelin for compensation years of service. She had come to the city when about twenty years old, from Dutchess County where she was born and placed an ad in the newspaper, which was answered by Mrs. Crommelin. She was worked for her in the capacity of "nurse, servant, housekeeper, financial agent, constant confidential companion and advisor," in exchange for board and clothing, but was promised to be "remembered handsomely in her will," but upon Mrs. Crommelin's death received only the momentoes of a diamond pin and some $100 worth of silver. She was awarded the $3,000 she was seeking, compensation for her six years of service, paid by the executors, Charles W. Sandford and William Hibbard.

In 1880, Asenette Angevine, aged 42, was living on West Washington Place, New York, NY, lodging in the home of Elizabeth McGowan, aged 66, with her four daughters, two servants and seven other lodgers.

In 1905, Asenath Angevine, aged 80, was living in Brooklyn, NY, in the home of Joseph Northup, aged 68, a yacht builder, and his wife, Sarah Northup, aged 68, and children, Angevine Northup, aged 32, a machinist, and Margaret Northup, aged 28, and boarder, Maria Kutsen, aged 26.

Death Record - Asenath Angevine, aged 81, single, no occupation, born 1825 in New York State, died on April 11, 1906 in Brooklyn, NY, and was buried on April 14, 1906 and Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead, L.I.

Stephen Angevine, George Angevine, Alice Aldrich, Anna Cole, Etta Flewelllng, Audelle Johnson, Joseph Birbeck, Ellen McA!lister, Clinton Birbeck, Ida Turner, and all other, the unknown heirs at law and next of kin of Aseneth Angevine, deceased, and their successors in interest herein (if any) all whose names, residences and ages are unknown the petitioners herein, and cannot after diligent inquiry, be ascertained by them, send greeting:
Whereas, Joseph Northup and Sarah J. Northup. of the County of Kings. New York, lately petitioned our Surrogate's Court of the County of Kings, to have a certain instrument in writing, bearing date the thirtieth day of June, 1904, relating to real and personal property, duly proved as the last will and testament of Aseneth Angevine, late of the County of Kings, deceased.
Wherefore, You, and each of you, are hereby cited to appear before our Surrogate of the County of Kings at a Surrogate's Court, to be held at the Hall of Records in the County of Kings, on the 23d day of October, 1906, at ten o'clock In the forenoon, then and there to attend the probate of the said last will and testament and that such of the above named as are infants then and there show cause why a special guardian should not be appointed to appear for them on the probate of said last will and testament.
In testimony whereof, we have caused the seat of our said Surrogates Court to be herunto affixed.
