Turners Falls - The funeral of Mrs Rose S Young, 85, of Central St., who died Friday at Farren Memorial Hospital, will be Tuesday at McCarthy funeral home in Turners Falls with Rev Alvin Desterhaft officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove cemetery, Conway. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Rose was known to her family as quite an accomplished knitter.

She and her sister-in-law Margaret (Wells) Farmer would visit together and watch the soap operas of the time, and one would say to the other, "Did you hear what that man just said?"
