THE GUARDIAN regrets to record the death, which occurred yesterday at Vancouver, of Lestock P. W. Desbrisay, C. E. He had been in robust health until suddenly stricken with hemorrhage of the brain, which quickly terminated in death. Mr. Desbrisay was in the prime of life being but 51 years of age. He was well known here in years past as one of the engineering staff on the construction of the P. E. Island Railway. Mr. Desbrisay was a capable and clever engineer, and since leaving the Island years ago had been employed on the Canadian Pacific Railway and on various public works in British Columbia. General sympathy will be felt for his surviving relatives. He leaves a widow and four children. Mrs. F. L. Haszard of this City is a sister of the deceased.
Lestock was first married to Julia Douglas, she died 15 Dec 1885 in Calgary, Alberta. Burial place unknown.
Lestock's second marriage was to Euphemia Jane "Effie" McGee. Effie was born 18 Jun 1869 in Toronto, Ontario. She married secondly to John Malcolm McSweyn 9 Apr 1903 in King Co., Washington, USA. She died 17 Sep 1941 in Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon, USA. Her obituary:
