Even his brother, the less famous Arturo, devoted himself to the dramatic art, but was less successful than the other members of the family. In 1901 he married, after dueling with a journalist to defend her, the actress Tina Di Lorenzo, with whom he had a son, Dino. Their union was also a professional matrimonial union in that often worked together. After being widowed in 1930, he remarried in 1942 to theater actress Elisabetta Svoboda.
