Mrs. Ethel Rae Soileau, 75, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, in Pascagoula, Miss., surrounded by her family. She was born May 17, 1932, to Amar and Bertha Gautreaux in New California.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Fabous Soileau; and son, John Paul Soileau.

Survivors include five daughters and sons-in- law, Mona and Jerry Reed of Pascagoula, Debra and Charles Peavy of Livingston, Carolyn and Gaylord Brouillette of Prairieville, Dana and Donald Bordelon of Simmesport, and Tonya and Michael Hardy of Livingston; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Darryl Soileau of Prairieville and James and Stephanie Soileau of Moss Point, Miss.; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mildred Sanderfer of Dallas, Esther Carmouche of Marksville, Jeannie Gross of Simmesport and Sandra Guilbeau of Baton Rouge; two brothers, L.F. Gautreaux of Simmesport and Freddie Gautreaux of Houma; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from the chapel of Escudé Funeral Home in Simmesport on Saturday, July 21, from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment in First Baptist Church Cemetery in Simmesport.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Reed, Heath Peavy, Paul Brouillette, Shawn Brouillette, Shelby Poncheaux, Cody Soileau and Seth Hardy.

Arrangements by Holder-Wells Funeral Home of Moss Point and Escude' Funeral Home of Simmesport.
