Married 1st Ruth Shrum.

From what I could find, David never married again after Ruth died. I have no idea who Frances Lee. Mom's grandmother never mentioned this other woman being in the family tree.
David Barks was my 2nd great grandfather and I didn't know this site and Ancestory site that he had gotten married shortly after his first wife Ruth had died. David and Ruth had 10 children that we know of and his daughter Martha Jane Barks (married a Roberts) is my great grandmother. I am still researching on David and his family. Mom remembers her grandmother Martha (Barks) Roberts mentioning baby Ruth. I am hunting for her and a census has put her living with David's sister Melinda Barks Berry after he died.
The children David and Ruth had are: Sarah, Mary, William, Ransom, Malissa (died as a baby), Thomas, Fannie, Martha, Amanda and (baby) Ruth. Mother Ruth died after giving birth or from this. The children that were too young to live on their own were placed with either older siblings who were married or it seems with David's siblings.
