Martha Jean Adorante, 72, of Vandergrift, died at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, Harrison, where she was a patient one day. She was born Jan. 14, 1933 in Vandergrift and lived in the borough her entire life. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift. She enjoyed bowling. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Diodato "Teddy" Adorante; son, Mario J. (Diane) Adorante of Vandergrift; daughters, Anita M. (Ken) Artman and Terri L. (Rich) Bryan, both of Vandergrift, and Celia J. (Bill Jr.) Adams of DuBois; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Nota (John) Oliver of Cabot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mario and Josephine Borello MacCagno; and a granddaughter, Jennelle Houser. Visitation will be Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, from 10 a.m. until time of a parting prayer service at 10:30 a.m. in the GERALD J. MEDICE FUNERAL HOME, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m., in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, with Father Chad Ficorilli, O.S.B. as celebrant. Entombment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell.
