Teresa Mary Glennon Adkins. Born January 9, 1884, in Minnesota. She was the first generation born in the United States. She passed away on May 13, 1970. She was married to the late Sampson (Sam) Adkins. She is survived by her only child, Helen Samuels, her son-in-law Robert Samuels, and two grandchildren, Robert (Claire) and Marjorie. She was the proud great-grandmother of Michele, Jeffrey, and Nicole. After her husband retired, they moved from Chicago to Walnut Creek to be closer to their daughter and her family. She became very active in several social clubs. She was a member of the Walnut Creek Women's Club, the Walnut Creek Bridge Club, and the Walnut Creek Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and was a fantastic baker. Private services were held with burial at sea.
