World War I British Army veteran (part of the Syren force in Russia). He was the son of Tom Watson and Catherine "Kate" Lucas Watson. His first wife was Irene Rennie Goldwater/Gold and they came to the USA in 1920 with their two children, Thomas Alfred Watson and Katherine Winifred Watson Mahoney. They initially lived in Detroit, Michigan (per ship passenger records) where Thomas Watson's sister, Mary Ethel Watson Jensen lived. Thomas and Irene divorced at least by 1927 and he later married Bessie Baker in 1942 in Detroit, MI before he and Bessie moved to California. His 1st wife Irene was remarried with a child (born 1929) by her new husband (McCombie) and living in California by the 1930 census.
