MRS. MICHAEL MCDONOUGH DIES AT 86
Alice McDonough, 86, widow of Michael McDonough, died Friday in a Mason City hospital. She had lived in Mason City 27 years and made her home at 232 6th SW.
Mrs. McDonough was born Feb. 26, 1879, at Dougherty, daughter of Charles and Ellen (Kennedy) Dougherty. She attended St. Patrick's School at Dougherty and was married to Michael McDonough, Feb. 18, 1903, in St. Patrick's Church, Dougherty.
They farmed in the Rockwell vicinity a number of years. Mrs. McDonough was preceded in death by her husband Jan. 26, 1936. She moved to Mason City in 1939.
Surviving are three sons, Daniel McDonough, Salt Lake City, Utah; Clem McDonough, Des Moines; and Robert McDonough, Mason City; and two daughters, Mrs. James (Arlene) Barragy, Mason City, and Miss Catherine McDonough, Mason City; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A brother, Everett Dougherty, Mason City; and four sisters, Agnes Ealy, Mason City; Rose Riggins, Dougherty; Mrs. W. C. (Loretto) Boyle, Dougherty; and Mrs. Ralph J. (Lenore) Hogan, Mason City, also survive.
Besides her husband, she also was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, and a sister.
Mrs. McDonough was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Hogan-McKee Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.

MRS. MCDONOUGH FUNERAL TO BE MONDAY MORNING
Requiem high Mass will be celebrated for Alice McDonough, 86, widow of Michael McDonough, at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. A.J. Breen will be celebrant.
Mrs. McDonough died Friday in a Mason City hospital. She had made her home at 232 26th SW.
Pallbearers selected are Joseph McLaughlin, Dick Scholl, Howard Hendrickson, Tom Dunn, Earl Cornelius and Orville Witte.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Dougherty.
The parish Rosary has been scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Chapel.
