EAST PEORIA -- Lucile E. Cheatham, 78, of 124 Devron Circle died at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1995, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

Born Sept. 23, 1916, in Minier to Frank Owen and Wilma Ann Garrison Emory, she married Richard R. Cheatham on July 25, 1936, in Peoria. He died April 28, 1988, in East Peoria. She also was preceded in death by one daughter and one sister.

Surviving are two brothers, Raymond Emory of Honolulu and Albert of Framingham, Mass.; and four sisters, Helen Reed of Morton, Marilyn Storts of Peoria Heights, Irma Flesner of West Peoria and Shirley Yates of Goreville.

She worked in the accounting and data processing departments at Caterpillar Inc. for 38 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Caterpillar Retirees.

She was a member of Musicians Local 26, American Federation of Musicians and Rox Bucklin Organ Club. She was a member of the United Ostomy Association Club and the Peoria Heights Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

She also was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and its 55 Club.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
