Sallie Estelle Gordy's mother was the 2nd wife of Nathaniel Nunn Nicholson of Marion County. Mrs. Elizabeth Dawson John married N.N. Nicholson on 5 May 1870. (Elizabeth born 10 Sept 1836 and died 9 Dec. 1909) . Elizabeth was the widow of Dr. Daniel L. Dawson , a confederate army doctor. Neither Elizabeth Dawson Nicholson or her first husband Dr. Daniel L. Dawson have been located on FAG.
