Capt. Ethan A. Allen, formerly of the US. Artillery, died at his residence in Norfolk County, Va., on the 6th instant, in the 68th year of his age. Captain Allen was born in Vermont, was educated at West Point, and served in the army until its reduction in 1821. His brother, Capt. Hannibal Allen, died while in command of Fort Nelson, Norfolk harbor about the year 1811. They were the only sons of Gen. Ethan Allen, of Revolutionary fame.
