Obituary from the "Republican Post" of Waupaca, Wisconsin dated 5 Feb 1914:
Old Settler Gone
Mrs. Esther E. Wilson passed away from this life at the home of her son, W. L. Wilson, in Springwater at nine o'clock Wednesday morning, Jan 28, 1914, at the age of seventy-four years and seventeen days.
Esther E. Warren was born in Knox County, Ohio, Jan. 11, 1840. She came to Wisconsin with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Warren, in 1854, and settled in Dayton, Waupaca County, where she resided for several years. She taught a number of terms of school and made many warm friends in the surrounding community.
On Dec. 24, 1862, she was united in marriage to Minor C. Wilson of Springwater, Waushara County, and to this union three children were born, George W. and Birney H. of Waupaca and William Linder of Springwater. For a number of years she has been a member of the W.R.C. and the Eastern Star of Waupaca where she made her home with her youngest son, Birney, and family until a few weeks before her death.
There are left to mourn her death three sons, two sisters, Mrs. David Hazen of Waupaca and Mrs. Lucy Barrington of Wautoma, thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild and many other relatives and friends.
The deceased had been in poor health for nearly two years, patiently enduring a complication of diseases, but medical skill and loving hands could not stay the coming of the Grim Reaper. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Crystal Lake church with interment in Crystal Lake cemetery by the side of her husband who preceded her seventeen years ago. Rev. Milne of Waupaca officiated. The text was taken from Isaiah 66:13, "As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you."

She married Minor Champion Wilson 24 Dec 1862 in Waupaca, Waupaca, Wisconsin.
