MIDDLETON, MILDRED "MITZIE," 80, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 at University of Louisville Hospital.
She was born Mildred Herbig on April 11, 1928 on Mulberry Street. She saw her husband, Lawrence, when she was 13 years old and loved him and only him from that moment on. She spent her married life as a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children. She met her husband on Mulberry Street in 1941 and he left this world on Mulberry Street in 1981.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; son, Larry; and beloved mother, Mildred Johnson.
She is survived by her son, her daughter who cared for her, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral: noon Tuesday at Evergreen Funeral Home, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
