Cordelia was the daughter of Josiah and Comfort Williams. She came to Fayette Co. in about 1840 with her mother and five siblings. She married Benjamin Powell on April 6, 1841, and they had a son, Joe Powell (1842-1902). Cordelia then married Dudley Henry Mabry on July 27, 1853 (his dates are 4/9/1812-3/29/1871), and their children were Maria, John Robert, Mary, Joel, William, and James.
