Infant son of James N. Brown and Polly Ann Smith Brown. He and at least one sibling are buried on the Brown family farm, known as Ridgeway, at the time. It was later known as the Handy farm, and is now known as Flat Run Veterans Park, owned by the city and county. Gravestone has been broken off and is being sheltered inside the foyer of Ridgeway which is scheduled for demolition (2016.) Exact original location of the grave is unknown, but locals have said the cemetery was not far from the house. After his family moved to Illinois in 1833, his parents had several more children who lived to adulthood - including another William. His Grandfather was Colonel William Brown: Congressman and Colonel in the War of 1812.
