Bio
My interest is genealogy. I have been able to trace many branches of my tree on my mother's side which is McGrew / Bryant and my paternal grandmother's side which is Morgan / Washington. However, my paternal grandfather's branch "Lofton" remains a mystery,
It has been doubly fun finding the burial places of my ancestors and linking them together.
Most of our ancestors are Scots / Irish and migrated from the original colonies to become pioneer settlers in the Mississippi Territories. They endured many hardships ... from battle in the American Revolution (both sides) to fighting Indians, participating in the War of 1812, the Civil War (losing side) and on to fight on foreign soil.
