Ena Christiansen Peterson, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away early Friday morning, October 29, 2004, at a local hospital due to an extended illness. She was surrounded by her family. Ena was born July 22, 1918, in Centerfield, Utah, the oldest daughter of George Peter and Mearl Merinda Jensen Christiansen. She attended school in Centerfield and Gunnison, graduating from Gunnison Valley High School. She married Clarence Marlin Peterson on June 15, 1939 in the Manti Temple. He passed away March 6, 1992. She lived in Ephraim, Utah, Centerfield, Utah and for the past 54 years in Orem, Utah. Ena was active in the LDS Church serving in the Primary, Sunday School, Young Women and Relief Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, keeping a neat tidy house and especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Clarence Marlin (Linda) Peterson, Monroe, Utah; four daughters, Venna LaRee (Lamont) Utley, Provo, Utah; Maridean (Richard) Proctor, Spanish Fork, Utah; Ena Valene (John) Whetten, Pocatello, Idaho; Ronda Phenes, Brigham City, Utah; one sister, Merna (Ray) Nielsen, Salt Lake City, Utah; three brothers, Jarl Christiansen, Sinclair, Wyoming; Bard (Charlene) Christiansen, Redmond, Utah; Cline (Lana) Christiansen, Provo, Utah; a sister-in-law, Faye Christiansen, Salt Lake City, Utah; twenty-two grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, MarNaeOrpa Hard; a son-in-law, Kenneth Hard; three grandchildren, Rashelle and Richard Proctor, and Tommy Hard; three brothers, Lenoy, Ralph and Earl; and two sisters, Karma and Edra. Enas family would like to express their love and appreciation to the care givers at Crestview Care Center and to the staff at Timpanogos Regional Hospital ICU unit, especially Tyler her nurse, for their tender, loving care of our mother and grandmother. Funeral services held Thursday, November 4, 2004 at the LDS Geneva Heights Second Ward, 590 North 900 West, Orem, Utah, with Bishop Clinton Harris officiating. Burial in Orem City Cemetery.
