Alvin George Pedersen was born in Aalborg, Aalborg, Denmark the son of Niels Pedersen and Mette Cathrine Pedersen. The family immigrated in 1899 to Sanpete County. World War I came and Alvin was drafted into the United States Military and was stationed at Fort Logan, Colorado. He died while there due to complacations of pnemonia. His body was returned to his family in Utah where they buried him in the Gunnison City cemetery. My father told me his was a very good and smart brother.
