Nora May Cox, 84, died on Friday, May 9, 1975, at the Taylor County Hospital. She was a resident of Route 6 in Campbellsville at the time of her death. She was a native of Taylor County born on February 19, 1891. She was the daughter of the late Nathan Hughes and Ida Bell Burress. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, A. A. Cox. She is survived by her husband, Ray Cox of Route 6, Campbellsville; five sons: Roy Cox of Campbellsville; Ed Cox of Campbellsville; Coy Cox of Louisville; Will H. Cox of Mannsville; and Rev. Andy Cox of Campbellsville; three daughters: Mrs. Ida Bell Wilson, Mrs. Agusta Brown, and Mrs. Vernith Herron, all of Campbellsville; one brother: Bob Hughes of Route 1, Elkhorn; one sister: Mrs. Hattie Sluder of Columbus, Ind.; 29 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 12, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Ken Vasey and Rev. Jack Vilbert were in charge of the services. Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery. The pallbearers were Larry Wilson, Jerry Cox, Charles Wilson, Gary Keith Cox, Jimmy Cox, and Danny Cox.
