Helper - Vera Vigil Chavez DeHerrera, 62, died Jan. 20 at Carbon County Hospital in Price after a long illness. She was born Sept. 27, 1909 in Hernandez, N.M. to Eduardo and Vicenta Medina Vigil. She married Zeke Chavez who died in 1959. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by a son and a daughter, both of Helper; nine grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Joe (Delpha) Martinez, Mrs. Siras (Dora) Lobato, both of Salt Lake City. Mass of the Resurrection was held Monday at St. Anthony's Church in Helper, arrangements by Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery in Helper.
