Edmonton Mayor. He served as the Mayor of Edmonton, Alberta, from 1949 to 1951. He also served as an Edmonton city Alderman from 1938 to 1949, and President of the Edmonton Trades and Labour Council from 1941 to 1945. Also a veteran of World War I, he served overseas with the 49th Battlion, of the Edmonton Regiment.
