Major League Baseball Team Owner, Businesswoman. She was the majority owner of the Cincinnati Reds from 1984 to 1999. While Reds owner, she was famous for bringing her dogs, Schottzie and later Schottzie 02, onto the field at Riverfront Stadium. She was forced to sell her controlling interest in the Reds in 1999, but retained a minority ownership in the team. She was also the first woman awarded a General Motors dealership in a major metropolitan area. She also donated to many Cincinnati area charities, including the Cincinnati Zoo and Children's Hospital.
