Funeral services were held at the Biggs Funeral Home Monday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock for Forest Stone, 51 years old, who was instantly killed Saturday night when struck by an automobile on the Elizabethtown road about three miles east of Lumberton.

Services were conducted by Rev. L.L. Todd of Whiteville, Mr. and Mrs. F.F. Hayes sang "Face to Face" and "Further Along," acompanied by Miss Allie Bird McKinnon at the organ.

Active pallbearers were Isley Wilcox, S. Gus Edwards, Charlie Walters, Sr., Bobby Britt, Barnum Risen and Leslie Flowers.

Mrs. Isabel E. Burns in charge of the flowers assisted by Mrs. Mattie Edwards, Mrs. John Phillips, Mrs. Jimmie Roberts, Mrs. Walter E. Howard, Mrs. Nettie Flowers, Mrs. Z.M. Musselwhite, Mrs. Sudie Hardin Lawson, Mrs. Bessie Stone, Misses Nancy Walters, Carolyn Stone, Thelma Hardin and Mrs. Wiley E. Edwards.

Mr. Stone is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Stone, Jr., his wife, Mrs. Snow Ford Stone, and two brothers, Boyd Stone of Tar Heel, and Rudolph Stone of New Kern; one sister, Mrs. Charlie Walters, Sr. of Lubmerton; and the following children: Mrs. Jimmie Risen and Mrs. Opal Cain of Lumberton, Mrs. Donald Borokman of Quantico, Virginia, J.W. Stone and Leo Stone of the home and four grand-children.
