He was the son of mexican movie star Pedro Armendáriz and actress Carmelita Pardo. He appeared in more than 140 movies, including "Licence to Kill", "The Legend of Zorro", "Once Upon a Time in Mexico", "The Mexican", "The Mask of Zorro", "Freelancers", and some of the top-grossing Mexican films including "The Crime of Father Amaro" and "Matando Cabos". He also appeared in several Mexican telenovelas, including "Amy, la niña de la mochila azul", "Agujetas de color de rosa" and "Tres mujeres". He died of eye cancer.
