Heart Attack Fatal To Otis R. Hammill, Former Resident Here
A sudden heart attack took the life of Otis R. Hammill, 75, of Wenatchee, Wash., who died July 20 at Sheridan, Wyo., while vacationing.
Born May 12, 1880, in Reliance, Ohio, Mr. Hammill moved with his family to South Dakota as a child. He was married to Jessie McKinney Feb. 24, 1904, at Miller, So. Dak. And they resided in Hand County for 30 years prior to moving to the Wenatchee Valley in 1934. Mrs. Hammill died Sept. 3, 1951. Mr. Hammill continued to make his home there and was later married to Thelma Fulwiler March 10, 1954.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Ray of Wenatchee and Edgar of Bremerton, Wash., three daughters, Mrs. Robert Bickel and Mrs. Grace Nerland of Wenatchee and Mrs. Herbert Freier of Ree Heights. Five brothers, Charles of Phoenix, Ariz., Murl of Mt. Bullion, Calif., Bert of San Diego, Calif., Curt of Ree Heights, Everett of Miles City, Mont., four sisters; Mrs. Winnie Schmidt of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Elsie Lomax, Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Cora Townsend of Racine, Wisconsin, Mrs May Sanger, Rockham, thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
