Thelma Robertson Yorgason passed away on November 29, 2011, twenty-one days before her 102nd birthday, after mastering the lesson of patience.

Thelma was the eleventh child of Nephi and Ellen Robertson, born December 20, 1909 in Cowley, WY. She was Student Body Vice-President her senior year at Cowley High School.

She married her high school sweetheart, Robert R. Yorgason, on March 10, 1934 in Tooele, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Education was paramount to Thelma and after having six children, she attended college when she could, including the University of Wyoming, LDS Business College, and Eastern Montana College, eventually obtaining her Bachelor's degree in English and Library Science.

She was an educator in Burlington, Cowley, and Evanston, Wyoming public schools. She became a teacher well known for having proficient students whom businesses were eager to hire.

After retirement, Thelma and Robert served in the Texas-Louisiana Mission, after which they moved to Pleasant Grove, Utah, where they worked in the Provo Temple for thirteen years.

She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers since 1964, recently receiving an award of appreciation for her devoted service. She served in many church callings throughout her life. She loved the Lord with all her soul, with all her mind, and with all her strength.

Thelma is survived by her children: Rodney (Mary) Yorgason (Cowley, WY), Ellen (Mike) Welch (Snellville, GA), Keith (Johann) Yorgason (Fruit Heights, UT), Eileen (Steve) Edson (Santa Barbara, CA), and Larry (Darcy) Yorgason (Snellville, GA); twenty-two grandchildren, seventy great-grandchildren, and twenty-one great-great-grandchildren.
