Norwegian Queen Consort. The daughter of Earl Skule Bardsson, she married King Haakon IV Haakonsson in 1225 in a failed attempt to reconcile her father with the King. Following the death of her husband in 1263, her son Mangus succeeded him and was known as Magnus iv or Magnus Lagabote (the lawmender). In the autumn of 1264, she accompanied her son on a visit to Rissa Abbey, a religious house for women located northwest of Trondheim in Trøndelag that was founded by her father, and where she likely spent her last years. She was interred in the Old Bergen Cathedral next to her husband, which was demolished in 1531.
