Lady John Russell

Daughter of George Byng, 4th Viscount Torrington, and Lady Lucy Boyle. Paternal granddaughter of George Byng, 3rd Viscount Torrington, and Elizabeth Daniel. Maternal granddaughter of John Boyle, 5th Earl of Cork, and Margaret Hamilton.

Married in Brussels to John Russell, Georgiana was the mother of three sons - Francis, George and John.

Her eldest son became the 7th Duke of Bedford and her youngest became the 1st Earl Russell and British Prime Minister. George, the middle son, pursued a military and diplomatic career - becoming the Aide-de-Camp to the Duke of Wellington and Ambassador to Berlin.

Georgiana died in 1801 and was never Duchess of Bedford, as her husband inherited the title a year later.

She is buried in the Bedford Chapel of the parish Church of St. Michael, Chenies.
