Born in Sunderland, Durham, England, the daughter of Ralph and Jane (Edwards) Allen. On February 28, 1913 Elizabeth sailed on the ship Victoria from Liverpool, England to Halifax, NS. On November 5, 1914 in Calgary, Alberta., she married Robert Quincy Lyman. She died in Vancouver General Hospital of breast cancer and heart disease.
