John B. Martin
The many friends of John B. Martin were grieved when word was received here Monday, announcing his death. Mr. Martin was stricken Saturday night and lived but a few hours.
Mr. Martin was 74 years old. He was born and reared in Owenton, lived here until a few years ago, when he went to Louisville. He was a cultured, Christian gentleman, a splendid citizen, and for many years a faithful member of the Owenton Christian church.
He was buried in the Owenton cemetery Monday afternoon where a short funeral service was held. Before bringing the body to Owenton, funeral services were held in his apartment in
Louisville.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Belle Teal Martin, and two children, Mrs. Clifton Rhodes and Lyman Martin, of Louisville.
