The funeral of Clarence Baker was held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon, Jan 5, 1927, at the Second Baptist church in Clarinda. The service was conducted by the pastor of the church, S.D. Warden. Music was furnished by the choir of the church. Burial was in Clarinda cemetery.

Clarence Baker was born in Clarinda, Iowa, Oct 23, 1883, and departed this life Jan 3, 1927. He was the youngest son of Rev J.A. and Susan Baker. He was united in marriage to Miss Symblean Griggs Oct 5, 1912. To this union were born six children, five of whom are living, one having preceded him in death. His father and mother have both passed on before, his mother, Dec 8, 1910, and his father, Nov 16, 1921.

He leaves to mourn their loss a wife, the five children, also two brothers, W.A. Baker and J.S. Baker; and five sisters, Mrs Lula Everett, Mrs Sylvia Cook, Mrs Elsie Campbell, Mrs Anna Nash and Mrs Ella Cochran, besides nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
