Woodie Saylor, 58, of Union Grove died Friday, May 13, 2011, the results of an accident in the Ruth Community of Arab.

Mr. Saylor was born in Nov. 7, 1952, in Marshall County to Woodie Max Saylor and Sadie Mabrey Saylor. He was married to the former Korie Sterling.

He was a 1971 graduate of Arab High School and a self-employed farmer.

He is survived by his wife: Korie Saylor of Union Grove; son: Jonathan Saylor of Arab; sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Melvin Owen of Arab; niece and her husband: Penny and Stacey Isom of Arab; nephew and his wife: Jason Heath and Melanie Owen of Arab; great-niece: Abigail Isom; and great-nephew: Heath Isom of Arab.

The funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Radford Pritchett officiating. Burial was in Mount Oak/Ruth Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.

Pallbearers were Darryl Greenwood, Jammey Light, Michael Light, Blan Milner, Tommy Milner and Jeremy Wilks.
