Linda Carol Silvers, 52, of Hancock, died Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at her home.

Born August 16, 1955 in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Charles Arthur Harvey and Pearl Adelia Martin Harvey.

She was a 1973 graduate of Hancock High School.

She retired from Fleetwood, as a lead person after 31 years of service.

She was a member of the Hancock Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny R. Silvers whom she married May 15, 1982; two sons, Christopher James Harvey, Warfordsburg and John Wesley Silvers, Newport News, Va.; six sisters, Naomi Sipes, Janie Smith and Wilma Leach all of Hancock, Ruthie Divel, Clear Spring, Md., Jessie Swadley, Needmore, Pa., S. Charlotte Sauter, Warfordsburg; five brothers, Arcie Harvey, Roger Harvey and Martin Harvey, all of Hancock, William Harvey, Lyons, N.Y. and Bobbie Harvey, Oakland, Md.; three grandchildren, Christopher Dane Harvey, Jared Ray Silvers and Charlotte Jade Silvers, a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Freddie Wayne Harvey.

A service was held Saturday, October 27 at the Hancock Church of God, Rev. Eugene Harne officiated. Burial was in the Mahnes Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hancock Rescue Squad, Inc. 57 E. Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750.

Arrangements were handled by Grove Funeral Home.
