Dorothy B. Clough Redmond
Funeral services for Dorothy B. Clough Redmond, 75, Riverview Towers, and formerly of Brasher
Falls and North Lawrence, will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Anderson Funeral Home in North Lawrence with the Rev. Paul Lacharite, pastor of St. John's Episcopal Church in Ogdensburg, officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Brasher Falls.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be this afternoon and evening.
Mrs. Redmond died Jan. 4, 1983 in the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital, where she had been a patient since Jan. 1.
Surviving are her husband, Cedric; a daughter, Betty Karl, Albany; a son, Warren Clough, Liverpool, N.Y.; three stepsons, Ronald and Donald Redmond, both of Ogdensburg, and Edward Redmond, Niagara Falls; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Melvin (Edna) Ashley, city, and Mrs. Kevin (Sue) Higgins, Tomkins Cove, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Manfred (Betty) Flood, city; four grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; 28 stepgrandchildren and 17 step great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Redmond was born in Ogdensburg on Aug. 8, 1907, daughter of Lester and Edith Young Baker. She was graduated from OFA and the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital School of Nursing in 1929. She received her master's degree in nursing from SUNY Plattsburgh and worked as a school nurse in the St. Lawrence Central School system from 1954 until her retirement in 1971.
She was married to Wayne Clough, who predeceased her, in 1941. She later married Abram Garrow, on July 6, 1970. Mr. Garrow died in 1973.
She married Cedric Redmond on Nov. 7, 1977 in Ogdensburg.
